In Wagrain-Kleinarl, the mountains are at your feet. A well-marked network of trails leads through mountain forests, along clear streams, and up to alpine pastures with magnificent views – there's a suitable trail for every fitness level.
Particularly popular is the hike to Jägersee and on to Tappenkarsee in the upper Kleinarltal valley. Those who want to go higher can conveniently use the summer cable cars as a starting point.
A special highlight is the Salzburg Summit Game : seven peaks, seven stories – a playful journey through the region's legends. Put on your hiking boots and let yourself be enchanted by the mountains.
Hike to Jägersee or further to Tappenkarsee in the upper Kleinarltal valley. There, at the head of the valley, it becomes quiet. Just right if you're looking for a moment to yourself.
Reach great heights in comfort
Our mountain lifts effortlessly transport you to the heart of the Salzburg mountains during the summer. Higher hiking destinations can be reached in no time – completely without exertion.
From June to September/October, the Grafenbergbahn, the Flying Mozart and the Champion Shuttle are in operation for you (no operation in case of heavy rain or thunderstorms).
Important note: Due to the construction of the new Grafenbergbahn cable car, these and Wagrain's Grafenberg with its play stations will unfortunately not be available in 2026.
Families especially appreciate the service – for example, the Family Run Summer Edition , a stroller-friendly path with small play stations around the Champion Shuttle mountain station.

On your marks, get set, go!
Right next to the middle station of the Flying Mozart gondola lift in Wagrain, a new highlight awaits families: the woom bike area. On 5,900 m², young bikers will find child-friendly trails, obstacles and drops – for every skill level.
First balance and jumping exercises are successful in the practice area, slightly more experienced riders venture onto waves and banked curves with a 5% gradient, and courageous bike stars plunge onto flow trails with up to an 8% gradient.
From the chill area you can keep a good eye on your loved ones – also ideal for a short break between bike adventures.
Suitable for children aged 2 to 14 years. Easily accessible via the Flying Mozart gondola lift.

Bikers aged 8 and up can use the e-bike rental service , while the youngest enjoy the tour comfortably in a bike trailer. A total of 150 km of signposted (e-)mountain bike trails are available – newly signposted and now uniformly marked throughout SalzburgerLand.
A special challenge awaits you with the Stoneman TAURISTA : Approximately 147 km and 4,700 meters of elevation gain will lead you through the Salzburg Sports World. Whether bronze, silver or gold – the choice is entirely yours.
Whether you're looking for a relaxed doubles match or a challenging singles game, Kleinarl offers two clay courts. This once elite sport has long since become accessible to everyone who enjoys outdoor exercise.

Soccer golf combines golf, mini-golf, and soccer in an entertaining way – fun for the whole family is guaranteed. The aim is to get a soccer ball into the goal with as few shots as possible. The targets are as varied as the game itself: holes in the ground or a wooden wall, nets, or even higher targets like a trough.
The Wagrain-Kleinarl Soccer Park is located directly at the valley station of the "Rote 8er" gondola lift. Whether young or old, visitor or local, family or club: this leisure activity is perfect for everyone.

With your Salzburg Sports World Card, you enjoy free daily admission to the Wagrain Water World: in summer, a day ticket for the outdoor and indoor pools (limited to 3 hours in bad weather). You will receive the guest card upon arrival.
