More than just mountains: The wonderful Wagrain-Kleinarl region
Wagrain-Kleinarl has much more to offer than lakes, mountains and peaks . Traditional architecture, cozy inns and vibrant Salzburg culture give the towns their special character.
There's also plenty to discover culturally: Visit the baroque parish church , the Waggerl House , or the Pflegerschlössl (a small castle) , and follow in the footsteps of Joseph Mohr, the poet of "Silent Night! Holy Night!". His final resting place is in the cemetery in Wagrain.

A beautiful hiking trail leads past the Jägersee to Tappenkarsee (1762 m), one of the highest mountain lakes in the Eastern Alps.
