In Kleinarl, you will find one of the most beautiful areas for anglers in all of SalzburgerLand. The Salzburger Stubn's own fishing waters begin right outside the hotel, meandering for 4 km through picturesque countryside in the direction of Lake Jägersee. The clear, fast-flowing water and rapids of this mountain stream provide a perfect habitat for our native brook trout.
For a special experience, we highly recommend making an expedition in search of Arctic char to the Tappenkarsee - the largest alpine lake in the Eastern Alps (elev. 1765 m). Living here is the so-called Schwarzreuther - a rare species of lake char which you only find in mountain tarns at higher elevations.
